From the 23rd to the 25th of July 2017 I attended the 25th International Symposium on Ion-Atom Collisions (ISIAC) in Palm Cove, Queensland, Australia. Here I gave a talk on some very sophisticated calculations for differential cross sections in proton-hydrogen collision that I had performed. To the right is the title slide, click on it to see more!
Following ISIAC I travelled to Cairns, Queensland, Australia to attend the 30th International Conference on Photonic, Electronic and Atomic Collisions (ICPEAC) from the 26th of July to the 1st of August. This is the largest conference in my field, attracting around 500 participants. Here I had two poster presentations, one on stopping powers and the other on differential cross section. Click the the posters below to see them in more detail!
Both Palm Cove and Cairns were lovely places. On the weekend there was no conference related activities so I went on the Kuranda Scenic Railway & Skyrail Tour and to Hartleys Crocodile and Wildlife Park. Both were very cool!
